Copper data cabling (Cat6 / Cat6A / Cat7)
Cat6 for cost-sensitive new offices, Cat6A as the 2026 default for new builds (supports 10G to PoE++), Cat7 for specialised environments. Drops to desks, AP locations, CCTV cameras, IoT devices, room control panels.
Fibre optic backbone (OM3 / OM4 / OM5 / OS2)
Multimode (OM3/4/5) for in-building backbone and high-bandwidth runs. Singlemode (OS2) for inter-building, campus, or long runs. Fusion splicing, termination, OTDR certification.
IP telephony and AV cabling
Cabling for Microsoft Teams Phone, Yealink IP phones, conference rooms (meeting room cabling for Teams Rooms / Zoom Rooms hardware), display wall infrastructure, audio system runs.
CCTV and security cabling
CCTV camera drops with proper PoE support, intrusion-detection sensor wiring, access-control reader cabling, intercom and door-station cabling. SIRA-compliant where required.

Site visit and design
1 week
On-site walk-through. Drop count per floor, fibre backbone routing, server-room location, containment routes. IT-system requirements gathered. Output: written cabling design and bill of materials.

Procurement and first-fix
2-6 weeks
Materials procured (Cat6A cable, fibre, patch panels, racks, faceplates). First-fix during construction: cable runs in containment, drops to ceiling height. Coordinated with electrical and other trades.

Second-fix and termination
1-3 weeks
Final fit-out: outlets terminated, patch panels installed, racks built, fibre fusion-spliced. Patch leads run. Server-room patching to switches and routers.

Certification and hand-over
1 week
Per-drop testing with calibrated certifier. As-built drawings, port-to-port labelling, patch-panel diagrams. Snag list closed. Certification documents handed to client. 25-year manufacturer warranty registered.
